His sixteenth manifestation was Dudal Rolpa Tsal, the great yogin who was a teacher of Jigmed Lingpa (A.D. 1730-1798). He then reincarnated as Garwang Dudjom Pawo (Dudjom Lingpa, A.D. 1835-1904), a famous Terton who often manifested wrathfulness in Kham. Rinpoche's eighteenth manifestation was Jigdral Yeshe Dorje (A.D. 1904-1987), who was considered an outstanding yogin, scholar, and meditation master in contemporary time. The present Yangsi Rinpoche is the nineteenth manifestation, known as Pema Osel, or simply as Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche The Third.
In future generations, Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche will be reborn as Rigden Dorje Nonpo, the king of Shambhala (the kingdom of the Kalachakra) which will manifest in this world when the time is riped. At the end of this Light Aeon, Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche will be manifested as the last of the Thousand Buddhas, known as the Lord Buddha Mopa Od Thaye.

Before Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche passed away, he mentioned that : "I will go to China, and I will be reborn into my own family." So, indeed, the prophecy of his own rebirth has come to pass exactly as predicted. Kyabje Dudjom Yangsi Rinpoche was born in the Iron Horse Year of the 17th Rabjung Cycle (1990) in Kyegudo (Yuesue County of Qinghai Province in China) to Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche's own son, Dola Tulku Jigmed Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, and his wife Pema Khandro. When Yangsi Rinpoche's mother was three months pregnant, one day she saw a rainbow over their house and she knew that it was an auspicious sign. Since then, many rainbows have appeared to them, and some even appeared inside their room.
After Yangsi Rinpoche was born, many great lamas of different traditions came to see him. Some said that he must be a tulku of the Sakya lineage, while others said that he might be a tulku of the Gelugpa. Yangsi Rinpoche was first recognized as the tulku of Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche by the great terton and wisdom dakini Tare Khandro (Tare Lhamo), who is the daughter of another great terton Aphang Terton in Golok. The prophecy came to her in poems of dakini scripts, which she translated into Tibetan. Then another Nyingma lama by the name of Ngaden Tulku wrote an article describing the events that had taken place.
Then, Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche III came to see Yangsi Rinpoche in Kyegudo and bestowed upon him many great initiations. Dzongsar Rinpoche also gave him the name "Pema Osel", meaning the Light of Lotus. During and after the initiations, ..CONTINUE..
